Install Print Drivers

Installing DocuTech Print Drivers

* Note - you may need your Windows® 95 Installation CD

 

  1. CLICK HERE to Download Xerox Files for the Print Drivers
  2. From the Windows® Start Menu, select Settings.
  3. From the Settings Menu, select Printers.
  4. Double-click on the Add Printers icon.
  5. Click on Next to start the Add Printer Wizard.
  6. Choose Local Printer; click on Next, then click Have Disk.
  7. When prompted, copy the files from Step 1.
  8. When prompted, select the Xerox DocuTech 135 PS printer. Then click Next.
  9. From the Port list, click File, then click Next.
  10. Type a name for this driver, then click Next.
  11. At the Print a Test Page prompt, click No, the click Finish.

At this point, you may be prompted to insert a Windows® 95 diskette or CD-ROM.
Insert the diskette or CD and follow the instructions. Consult your system
administrator if you do not have access to this diskette or CD.

Configuring Print Drivers

  1. Return to the Printers window (Start>Settings>Printers).
  2. Right-click on the printer you named during installation.
  3. Choose Properties, then select the Fonts tab.
  4. Click on Always Use True Type Fonts, then Send Fonts As, then Outline.
  5. Choose Native Format from the Send PostScript As selections. Click OK.
  6. Select the PostScript tab. Set PostScript output format to Optimize for Portability.
  7. Set PostScript header to Download header with each print job. Click OK.
