Installing Print Drivers

* Note - you may need your Windows® NT Installation CD

Print Page

  1. CLICK HERE to Download Xerox Files for Print Drivers
  2. From the Windows® Start Menu, select Settings.
  3. From the Settings Menu, select Printers.
  4. Choose My Computer and click on Next to start the Add Printer Wizard.
  5. From the Port list, click File, then click Next.
  6. In the Manufacturers section, select Xerox. In the Printers section, select the Xerox DocuTech 135 PS2 printer. Then click Next.
  7. Type a name for this driver, then click Next.
  8. At the Print a Test Page prompt, click No, the click Finish.

At this point, you may be prompted to insert a Windows® NT 4.0 CD-ROM. Insert the CD and follow the instructions. Consult your system administrator if you do not have access to this CD.

Configuring Print Drivers

  1. Return to the Printers window (Start>Settings>Printers).
  2. Right-click on the printer you named during installation.
  3. Choose Document Defaults.
  4. Under the Graphics option, set the True Type Font option to Download as Soft Font.
  5. Under the PostScript option, set the Page independence option to Yes. Close this dialog box.
  6. In the Printers window, right-click on the printer.
  7. Choose Properties. Under Font Substitution, choose Slow But More Accurate. Click OK.
