Microsoft Windows® 98 ÿ

Installing Digital Color Print Drivers

* Note - you may need your Windows® 98 Installation CD

Print Page

  • From the Start menu, select Settings
  • Select Printers from the Settings menu
  • Double-click on the Add Printers ICON
  • Choose "Local Printer" and click on Next to invoke the Add Printer Wizard
  • Click "Have Disk"
  • Browse to the location where you extracted the print driver files
  • Select "Spl95PF.ing" and click "Open"
  • At the Install from Disk screen, select "OK"
  • Select the Splash G610-DocuColor 12 PM and click "Next"
  • Click File from the Port list & click on "Next"
  • Type in a name that helps easily identify this driver & click on "Next"
  • At the Print a Test Page prompt, click on No. Click on "Finish’

< At this point, you may be prompted to insert a Windows® 98 CD-ROM. Insert the CD-ROM and follow the directions.
Consult your system administrator if you do not have access to this CD-ROM>

Configuration:

  • Return to the Printers window (Start, Settings, Printers)
  • Right click on the printer you named during installation
  • Choose Properties
  • On the "Device Options" tab, change the following:
  • Under "Spool Options", set it to "Print and Save"
  • Under "RGB Gamma", set it to "normal"
  • Under "RGB Whitepoint", set it to "normal"
  • Under "CMYK Press Color Correction", set it to "enabled"
  • Under "Dynamic Edge Smoothing", set it to "enabled"
  • Under "Black Overprints", set it to "disabled"
  • Under "Autotrapping", set it to "enabled"
  • Click "OK"
